About Me

Scott Perry: Floyd, Virginia, United States; I am a husband, father, teacher and musician living in Floyd County, Virginia. I perform traditional and original acoustic blues, jazz, swing, honky tonk and vintage rock & roll as a solo artist and w/ my band Front Porch Swing. I own and operate a fretted instrument instruction studio called the Pickin' Porch (now located in the Jacksonville Center), where I instruct dozens of guitar, mandolin & ukulele students. I also conduct educational workshops on blues music. As if that weren't enough, I also my own promotion company and record label Oh Papa Music. My wife and I live on a 40 acre farm in Floyd County, VA where we raise our two sons, dogs, cats, chickens, fruit trees, berry bushes, a vegetable garden and more than a few eyebrows.
