Blogger's Blues

I started a blog at the suggestion of my web page designer. He said I needed to provide content on my page that would bring people back frequently. Evidently my "Quote of the Month" (which I update semi-annually), was not cutting it. So I hopped on the blogging bandwagon. I enjoyed writing my first couple of posts and they came fairly easily. Blogging ideas began to come more slowly and posting became a burden, another commitment added to my already full schedule. Lately blogging has been a nuisance that I just plain avoid. I've got the blogging blues.

Floyd County, VA is loaded with bloggers. Many of them are linked from this site. They are all great, but my personal favorite is "Dark Chocolate, Red Wine." It's written by the county's most beautiful and intelligent blogger, my wife Lisa. She got off to a slow start blogging, but she's now blogging up a storm. Lisa's a wiz when it comes to research. She's done her homework on how to be a successful blogger and put it into practice. I'm really happy for her and it's great to see her blogging away happily. In fact reading her blog is just one of the many ways I avoid blogging myself!

So how does one cure the blogging blues? One piece of advice Lisa passed on to me is to keep my posts brief. So I'm done today.

And yes, I do feel better. Thank you!
